Used in the New Testament of Satan or the prince of demons. Enemies of Jesus claimed that Beelzebub was the 'unclean spirit' through whom Jesus performed his miracles (Mark 3:30; Luke 11:15; Luke 11:18).


Greek: 'master of the heavenly dwelling', Latin: 'Lord of the flies'.
