A-Z: General definitions: Heracles and the Cretan Bull

Definition

The seventh labour of Heracles. Eurystheus commanded Heracles to capture the bull, sent to Crete by Poseidon, which was the father of the Minotaur. This Heracles did, although the bull had been made savage by Poseidon in revenge for Minos neglecting to sacrifice it to him, riding it across the sea, back to Eurystheus.
