A-Z: General definitions: Ida, Mount
Definition
There are two Mounts Ida in myth: on one, Zeus was sheltered when young, safe from Cronos. The other one is near Troy, and is where Aphrodite and Anchises made love, where their son Aeneas was born, where Paris was brought up away from his family, and where he made the fateful judgement between Hera, Athene and Aphrodite.
