A binding agreement / treaty. God's covenant with his people is a central, unifying theme in scripture, demonstrating the relationship between God and his people. Old Testament covenants God made include those with Noah (Genesis 9:8-11), David (2 Samuel 7:9-16) & Abraham (Genesis 12:1-2).
