Definition

The use of natural and/or supernatural powers to coerce or harm others, for example placing a curse on someone. In both the Old and New Testament witchcraft is condemned as an evil practice (Deuteronomy 18:10; Galatians 5:20). The apostles confronted those who practised witchcraft (Acts 8:9-24; Acts 13:6-12).
