Definition
Describes a person (a deist) who believes that there is a supreme being who created the universe but who is no longer involved with it and does not intervene in its out-workings. Contrast with theist.
A person who believes that the universe has been created by a god or supreme being, but one who does not interact with people or affect any natural laws.
A person who believes in the existence of a god who created the universe and continues to interact with it, intervening in certain situations.
