Genre

The three wise men, Magi, or sometimes Kings, were divinely called to welcome the birth of Jesus. The commonly held view that there were three Magi is not recorded in the biblical accountEastern wise men and astrologers expert in interpreting dreams. In the New Testament men whose interpretation of the stars led them to Palestine to find and honour Jesus with gifts signifying his kingship.
The image of God on his throne in heaven surrounded by his angels and ministers to whom he makes announcements and where he may be petitioned.
The name given to the man believed by Christians to be the Son of God. Also given the title Christ, meaning 'anointed one' or Messiah. His life is recorded most fully in the Four Gospels.
