In the parable of Jesus about the rich man and the beggar Lazarus, the beggar gets to live life of luxury and joy in heavenIn the Bible, the term given to stories that Jesus told as part of his teaching.
The name given to the man believed by Christians to be the Son of God. Also given the title Christ, meaning 'anointed one' or Messiah. His life is recorded most fully in the Four Gospels.
Brother of Mary of Bethany and Martha of Bethany. According to John 11:1-44, Christ raised Lazarus from the dead, an event later held to prefigure his own Resurrection.
