Definition
Term used in the New Testament to describe the relationship between God and human beings presented in the Old Testament. Refers primarily to the the framework of laws believed to have been given by God to Moses. It is often contrasted with the New Covenant after the coming of Christ, where the death of Jesus for the sake of humankind offers mercy and redemption
