The cancelled chapter of Persuasion

Some editions of Persuasion may include the cancelled chapter of the novel which still exists in its manuscript form. Before she died, Jane Austen replaced it with Chapters 22 and 23 which she much preferred. Critics agree that this replacement is much more in keeping with the rest of the novel than the original ending.
