Definition

In Greek mythology, refers to the chariot of the sun which was driven across the sky each day. Phaeton was the son of Helios, who lost control of the chariot of the sun and nearly set the earth on fire. Name given to a light open carriage of the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, equivalent to a modern prestige sports car.
