Definition
A dramatic genre developed in the nineteenth century which has continued into the twenty-first century, the well-made play is the traditional model of a well-constructed and crafted play, with clear climaxes and resolutions.
In the structure of a play, the climax, or crisis, is a high point of tension that follows a complication.
The denouement at the end of a play when all is resolved.
